A lot of people like to say that Jesus was just a prophet or a good moral teacher. I wish that people would critically think this through because that statement makes absolutely no sense for the following reasons. All the scriptures above are references to Jesus as God, Deity, or savior of the world. The ones listed above are just a few that I chose to list. There are many more. The claims of being God our made by Jesus himself and also by his disciples. Jesus never tried to correct his disciples and tell them, Why do you guys keep calling me God. There is no reason for Jesus to correct the truth. Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).

Was Jesus a liar?
If Jesus made these claims and knew that he was not God then he was Lying and deliberately deceiving his followers. If he was a liar, then he also was a hypocrite because he taught others to be honest at whatever the cost. Worse than that, if he was lying he was a sick, twisted, evil individual because he told all to believe in Him for their eternal salvation. This would also have been the stupidest lie because it led to a long beating and drawn out suffering death of on a cross. Who dies like that for a lie.

Was Jesus a lunatic?
Could Jesus have made all these claims and believed them himself because he was mentally unstable but they were not true. In Jesus we don’t observe the abnormalities of a crazed unstable individual. If he was insane his poise and composure was nothing short of a miracle itself because people respected him and hold his teachings high. It’s hard to imagine that he was mentally disturbed because his words are the most profound ever spoke. He did not have a huge ego, He was humble. He cared deeply about people. He responded to people based on where they were and what they needed. There has been nothing written of Jesus being a unstable individual in the bible or extra biblical historical writings.

Was Jesus Lord?
Or was Jesus exactly who he said he was. You have to pick one.

Were the apostles of Jesus liars?
When Jesus was alive and his apostles were under threat just for knowing Him they cowardly abandoned Him. They were afraid of taking a beating or getting stoned or something of that matter. After Jesus was crucified and His body was placed in a tomb, He proved He was God by raising from the dead.

After this took place Jesus appeared to the apostles which changed them forever. All the apostles went to there deaths preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. They all died martyrs. Peter crucified upside down, Matthew killed by a sword, Andrew crucified, Philip crucified, Bartholomew crucified, Thomas killed with a spear, James crucified, Thaddaeus was killed by arrows, Simon crucified. These men were murdered for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. They took multiple beating before their deaths and were put in prison. None of this stopped them from preaching the gospel. Not one of the deaths of the other stopped them from preaching the gospel. These men were once afraid of a slap in the face for Jesus. After seeing the resurrected Jesus Christ and being filled with the Holy Spirit they were all radically changed. Now I have to ask you, Were these men lying? I think not.
